More About Me
I’m an avid animal lover, though if I had to choose just one animal it would be cats. We currently have seven cats (three of them were two-week-old kittens who were dumped in our neighborhood that we bottle-feed and couldn’t stand the thought of parting with), two dogs, one guinea pig, and two bunnies.
I’m a Washington state native who doesn’t want to live anywhere else. Except maybe Alaska. That sounds fun and interesting.
I have two kids, a fourteen and a ten-year-old. Both of them are extremely smart and creative with ADHD and Autism. Yes, they keep me busy and entertained.
I’m an adult woman who loves young adult novels and I’m not ashamed of that.
I have dyslexia and believed for a long time that I could not be a writer because of that. If you would like to read about my experience, click here.
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. It’s exceptionally frustrating because the normal medications to treat RA don’t work for me. They either make me sicker or barely touch my pain and swelling. The only way I’ve been able to control it is through my diet, which I struggle with. I need to maintain a gluten/sugar/dairy-free diet, to feel good physically. I despise that diet with a passion and constantly struggle to find the balance between a diet that I like and one that’s good for my health.
My family is obsessed with Disney. We try to visit Disneyland every year around Christmas time, we were fortunate enough to do so for nine years in a row. Then COVID hit and we haven’t been since.
I love the snow. I find it to be incredibly peaceful, but we don’t get a lot here so when we do it’s special.
When I was younger, I played the harp for ten years. After taking a seventeen-year break, I was able to get a previously owned harp. I am enjoying re-teaching myself to play.
At the age of 38, I was diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, and depression. At 39, I was diagnosed with autism as well. I’ve been re-learning a lot about myself and who I am with this new information.
